The divine view of the Shiva’s abode is believed to be the way of carving straight journey towards ultimate Salvation, an escape from the chain of this mortal life as Hindus believe Mount Kailash to be the abode of Lord Shiva and Parvati, which is situated at Southern part of Tibet. To make the strenuous pilgrimage to Kailash region is to attain release from the clutches of ignorance and delusion of life.
China’s autonomous region of Tibet is a renowned Pilgrimage destination for the pilgrims belonging to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Bonpo religion. It is also believed to be the mediating and dwelling spot of the founders of these religions for thousands of year. Some pilgrims often feel unable to circumambulate the 53 km periphery of this Mountain so they simply rotate the starting spot called “Yamadwar”, the gate of Heaven and return back. A single glance at this divine Mountain is believed to be a symbol of good Luck.
The exotic sceneries, peaceful environment of the holy Kailash Parvat entice every Human being to venture it once. Different religion people worship Kailash Parvat with different understanding. Some called it as “Kang Rimpoche”, some as “Jewels of Snow”, some as “Meru Parvat” or “Sumeru Parvat” and some as “Astapada”. 6714 meters elevated black peak is worshipped as the “Center of Universe” by Buddhist and Hindu all over the world. Manasarovar Lake: The word “Manas” means mind or consciousness and “Sarovar” means Lake in Sanskrit language. Mt. Kailash lies beside the most sacred lake of Hindus Mansarovar Lake (4580m) which has held deep spiritual influence and wide religious among Hindu & Buddhists. After Mount Kailash, pilgrims circumambulate Mansarovar Lake.
It is believed that making round of the lake and taking a holy bath in its cold water with right intention of mind purge one’s soul from sins and the body from diseases. Still there are others, who believe one can not only clean his soul but also secure his place in heaven after the end of mortal life. One more school of thought says us that taking a dip in it helps one attain “Mokshya”: free from the cycle of birth and re-birth in the worldly life. This lake is so gigantic that it takes three full days to just go round its peripheries for the locals while others may take 5-7 days for the same rotation. Ancient Hindu scriptures indicate this lake as a must visit place for achieving the highest level of achievement, “Salvation” as per ancient Hindu Scriptures. The cascading waves of the Lake amaze the travelers with heavenly pleasure. It looks really very beautiful. Travel Company, Monterosa organizes very pleasant & smooth Yatra every year.
