Ali (Ngari Gunsa) Airport is a dual-use military and civil (Public) airport serving the town of Shiquanhe (Ali) in Ngari Prefecture situated in the southwest of China's autonomous region of Tibet. Situated at an elevation of 4274 m, Ali Airport is the world's fourth highest commercial airport that starts operating from 1 July 2010.
It takes 2 hours to reach Lasha from Ali Airport by flight. Then from Lasha, we can drive for 2 hours passing 200 km distance to reach Mansarovar Lake. The sacred Mount Kailash is situated just north of Manasarovar Lake. People following four different religions, The Hinduism, the Buddhism, The Jainism and The Bonpos worship this peak as the most holy place in the Earth.
Road Journey is quiet difficult so we can take a flight from Lasha to Ali Airport that is only of 2 hours. China Airlines will allow us to fly continuously from Lasha to Ali Airport easily.
Mount Kailash Manasarovar: The Mysterious Holy Peak; Mt. Kailash is a mysterious peak which is worshiped as a savior of entire universe. Different religion people define this peak in different way. Some called it as a Soul of Universe some as the abode of Gods and Goddess and some refer it as Jewel of Snow. Despite of these differences the ultimate faith of entire human world opines Mount Kailash as the holiest place in Earth. It is situated at an elevation of 6,714 meters above sea level and the four prominent rivers of Asia namely; The Brahmaputra, The Ganges the Indus and The Sutlej originate through this bulky peak.
Hindus believe this peak as the abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. For Hindus to make the arduous pilgrimage to Kailash Parvat and circumambulate the 53 km periphery called Kailash Koraa is to get rid of all known and unknown sins ever committed in life. Buddhist worship Kailash Parvat as the meditating spot of Lord Buddha and Jains believe that their first Saint obtain Liberation meditating at this region.
The mountain is also famous for its unique four-sheer like appearance like that of a handle of a millstone. The Buddhist symbol “Swastika” in its southern side has boost up its spirituality among us. A single glance upon this holy mountain Kailash is believed to bring good fortune in rest of life. That is why thousands of devotees from across the world come to venture this holy place.
International Flights to Lhasa:
Lhasa Gonggar International Airport of Tibet is the largest and most important airport as it is the only airport with international Airlines, Air China and Sichau Airlines connecting direct flight from Lhasa- Kathmandu – Lhasa. During summer days, we can find direct flights in a daily basis. However the flight will be sometimes once a day and sometimes twice a day.
24 June 2018 Day 01: After arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, the staffs of Monterosa Treks and Expedition receive our guest and escort them to hotel. In the evening time, guests will be taken to Pashupatinath temple to have divine view of Aarati.
25 June 2018 Day 02: In the second day, pilgrims will be guided towards Pashupatinath Temple for Rudra Abhisek, Hom and Panchamrit with especial worship of the temple. After that, we will move on to Boudhanath, Jal Narayan in Budhanilkantha temple for sightseeing. If we get enough time we can also visit Saga Shiva Statue and Doleshor Mahadev. In the evening, there will be briefing for Kailash Manasarovar tour.
26 June 2018 Day 03: This day early in the morning we take a flight from Tribhuvan International Airport to land at Gonggar Airport of Tibet. Driving 90 km from Gonggar Airport we reach to Lasha city and spend our night in a hotel.
27 June 2018 Day 04: On this day, we move for sightseeing of beautiful Potala palace, Bharkhor Monastery and Bharkhor Bazaar and other historical places. We will spend our night again in the hotel of Lasha.
28 June 2018 Day 05: On this day, we fly to Ali Airport (4500m) from Gongaar Airport. After that, we drive towards Mansarovar Lake for 2 hours covering 200 km distance. Looking at the beautiful scenario we reach the shore of Mansarovar for Mansarovar Kora (Circumambulation). Chiu Monastery at bank of Manasarovar Lake will be our place for stay during full moon night.
29 June 2018 Day 06: Early in the morning we take holy bath in holy Lake Manasarovar and do Pooja and Hawan in the presence of Nepali Priest. During noon, we drive 40 km to reach Darchen and stay overnight in a 4 star Kailash Himalaya hotel.
30 June 2018 Day 07: In this day, we drive for a few minutes to the initial spot of Kailash Parikrama (Circumambulation) called Yamadwar and start walking to Dirapuk (4860m). The total distance of walking during Kailash parikrama is 53km. After we reach back to Darchen, we can walk or hire pony or horse up to 38 km. And, there will be a blue bus to travel remaining distance.
01 July 2018 Day 08: This will be a longest day to walk as we need to reach Zuthulpuk from Dirapuk. Climbing from Dirapuk we reach the Shivasthal, Ganesh kunda and finally the top of Dolma La Pass. It is the highest point of our journey that is 5636km. The walking distance from Dirapuk to Zuthul puk is 21 km which takes 7-8 hours. This is the most difficult day as we need to walk up to 18,600 ft. or 5636m. Gauri Kunda is clearly visible while descending towards Shapje Drakthok. Almost 1 and half hour walking down and reach Shabje Drakthok can be reached walking for about 1 hour 30 minutes and then we further move on to Zuthul puk following Lham Chu River.
02 July 2018 Day 09: We take our breakfast in the morning and walk towards Chongdo from Zuthul puk passing 6 km distance. From Chongdo, we take blue bus / Jeep to Darchen. We take our lunch and rest at 4 star hotel Kailash Himalayan.
03 July 2018 Day 10: In this day we move on to Darchen and take a flight from Ali Airport to reach Gongar Airport. We spend our night at Lasha city.
04 July 2018 Day 11: In this day, we fly to Kathmandu after having our breakfast at hotel. We spend our night in the hotel at Kathmandu.
05 July 2018 Day 12: This is the last day of our tour and there will be farewell to our dear guests. Then, they will be transferred to Tribhuwan International airport for returning back to their home country.

Oxygen is less at higher altitudes. The inclement weather and high altitude induces certain illness generally not encountered over the plains. Headache, nausea, lassitude, lethargy, breathlessness, general uneasiness [malaise], high irritability, light loss of balance, disorientation, incoherence and insomnia are a few. It is common to all irrespective of the age, sex and physical fitness. Gradual acclimatization is the best answer. Tranquilizers, sleeping dose and strong anti-biotic must be avoided. Some of symptoms indicate that the body mechanism is readjusting to new environments. The best idea is deliberately slow down all the activities and follows the following rules:
1. Chant a prayer or visualize everything around to suit your pleasant thoughts or put on the earphones
and listen to your favorite music, Bhajans, Shiva Mantra chanting etc.
