Kailash Mansarovar Tour - Itinerary 

22 August 2023 Day 01: Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, the staffs of Monterosa Treks and Expedition will receive and escort you to hotel. Every Yatri should reach Kathmandu 10:00 AM or before. We collect passport original and apply Tibet visa in Chinese embassy in Kathmandu for Kailash tour. For Indian passport holder must be reach New Delhi 6 days before who are staying out of India. Who are staying in India, they can send passport in our New Delhi office by currier minimum 10 days before for processing Kailash visa.

While rest, take buffet vegetarian Lunch and after noon will be holy tour to Kailashnath Saga and Doleshwar Mahadev Darshan or everybody do resting in hotel. In the evening time, Kailash Yatri will be taken to Pashupatinath temple to have Aarati Darshan.

23 August 2023 Day 02: After having your breakfast at Kathmandu, you will be taken for Rudra Abhishek, Hawan, Arati and holy Darshan in Pashupatinath Temple. It will be 2 and half program. Finish spiritual program in Pasupatinath, back to hotel, while rest, take Lunch and 2 PM, start half day holy sightseeing in Boudhanath Stupa or Swaymbhunath and Budhanilkantha sleeping Vishnu. 24 August 2023 Day 03: This will be the first day of Yatra / Tour. We travel from Kathmandu to Ghatte Khola (Nepal) that is Drive (1700 meters - 152 kilometers) - Departure starts from Kathmandu in Nepal to Tibet border on a private tourist coach or jeep as per your package. After you take your breakfast in Kathmandu. It takes 7 to 8 hours' drive to reach Ghatte Khola Rasuwagadi. Trisuli bazaar will be our lunch spot. Further, driving to Kalikasthan, Ramche, Dunche, Shyabru Besi, Timure and we finally reach to Ghatte Khola, Rasuwagadi. There are standard hotels and Lodges with fine Nepali and Indian cuisine for tourists.

25 August 2023 Day 04: Kerung valley Tibet is our next destination. Our entire visa and passport will be checked at Nepal immigration office which is at Ghatte Khola near by our night halt. After completing entire formalities, we continue driving for 15 minutes to walk to Nepal Tibet friendship brigade Rasuwagadi. We cross the friendship bridge, Tibetan immigration office and get checked our Tibet visa and permit one by one. There will be our Tibet guide waiting for us with travel permit for Kailash tour/Yatra. He will deal with all the immigration formalities and take to Tibet part and surfer by tourist bus / van to Kerung valley. Kerung valley is 24km far from Nepal Tibet boarder. Kerung valley will be simple accommodation, there are tourist standard lodge and guest houses as well at this city situated 2900 meters above the sea level.

26 August 2023 Day 05: On this day, we drive from Kerung to Saga. We can see Peku Tso Lake, Salt Lake (Nunilo Tal) on the way & reach Saga city after 5/6 hours long drive. The view of Nomads looking after thousands of sheep and yaks is really interesting at this place. We manage for warm lunch box for our travelers & we stop for lunch near Peku Tso Lake or somewhere. After that, we continue driving & cross the Brahma Purtra River (Sangpo) the way to Tibetan city Saga. It is a big city with many facilities on the way to Kailash & Manasarovar tour

27 August 2023 Day 06: Saga - to Manasarovar Lake (4580m.). Some 470 kilometers is to be covered in not more than 7-8 hours. After breakfast we drive from Dongba to Manasarovar Lake. The day starts with full of excitement, by the afternoon as you can have the first sight of Holy Kailash Parbat and Manasarovar Lake from Hor. For lunch, we make hot lunch box and on the way we stop for lunch. After Lunch we continue the drive to Manasarovar Lake reaching Hor, a small place near Manasarovar Lake. Now we start the rotation of Manasarovar Lake and complete it in about 2-3 hours’ time. However, Manasarovar Lake is so big that it takes 3 to 5 days to make one rotation on foot. The circumference of the Lake is 102 Kilometers. There are 8 Monasteries all through the circumference of the Lake. After Kora of Manasarovar Lake, drive to Darchen for overnight. 

28 August 2023 Day 07: Drive Darchen to Yam Dwar gate of the god of death) & it comes Yam Dwar, from here starts walking to Dirapuk (4890 meters - 11 kilometers) – Monastery. We should start our journey after breakfast as early as possible. This day, we have to walk continuously for about 5 to 6 hours. Yak will carry all our goods and equipment, From Dirapuk, you can see mount Kailash north face is much closed, looks Shiva god staying there, overnight stay at Dirapuk guest house.

29 August 2023 Day 08: Morning take breakfast and climb up to Charan Sparsh of touch Kailash parvat. Back to Dirapuk and over stay here.

30 August 2023 Day 09: Morning take breakfast and trek back Yam Dwar and drive to Darchen. Overnight stay in Darchen.

31 August 2023 Day 10: Ashtapad (8 steps) Just in front of Nandi Parvat there is another Mountain called Ashtapad. Literally, Ashtapad means Mountain of Eight Steps in Sanskrit. This holy mountain often called as “Ratnamaya (precious gemstones), “Rajatadri”, and “Sfatikachal” (the crystal palace) by the Jains. Ashtapad has become a spot of peaceful caves for many saints, Rishi’s, Monks to do meditation.  According to Jainism Ashtapad is the place where the first Tirthankara of Jains, Rishabdev attained Moksha or Nirvana. 

Tirthatan means God of Teaching, it shows that the 'fordable path' across the sea of interminable births and rebirth (saṃsāra). Rishabhanath or Rishabdev is also known as Adinath. In Hinduism, Lord Shiva is generally called as Adinath or the first in Nath Cult. 

It is also believed that Mount Kailash is surrounded by eight smaller mountains making it a lotus shape with eight petals. Ashtapad is visited by a large numbers of pilgrims on Kailash Manasarovar Yatra. To visit ASTHAPAD, we have to walk ten minutes from Serlung Monastery steep up to reach.   Back to Darchen and Drive Manasarovar from Darchen for spiritual and rituals. According to Hindu religion, is seen offering water, flowers, money to the God and after the prayers to Lord Shiva & Parvati.

The pilgrims are seen meditating in Lord Shiva and reciting the names of their ancestral gods, performing the Hawan (offering grains mixed with purified butter to the fire) in the name of gods, in order to relieve themselves from any kind of sins which they might have committed knowingly or unknowingly. After completing the Hawan, they are exchanging happiness by hugging, much to the amusement of the onlookers. Everybody is doing Aarati (oil-fed lamps) and praying by joining hands. 01 September 2023 Day 11: Drive to Prayang Dongba and final reach to Saga Bazaar    Overnight stay in Saga Bazaar.  

02 September 2023 Day 12: Drive to Kerung; drive Kerung from Saga Bazaar, it takes 6 / 7 hours. Overnight will be Kerung valley.

03 September 2023 Day 13: Kerung to Kathmandu – After having our breakfast, we drive to Nepal-Tibet Friendship Bridge Rasuwagadi. Entire customs and immigration formalities clearance in Tibet and Nepal side is done and again continue drive to Kathmandu for about 7/8 hours. Finally, you will reach at hotel. You will have your lunch on the way back to Kathmandu.

04 September 2023 Day 14: This is the day of final departure. You will be taken to Airport from hotel.
